Benefits
Galaxy offers a comprehensive benefit plan. General details of the plan are as follows:
- Medical and Dental
Full-time employees (and their dependents) are eligible for coverage immediately upon hire. Three different plan choices are available.
- 401(k) Savings Plan
Employees who are scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours or more per year may contribute eligible compensation on a pre-tax basis immediately upon hire. Contributions may be directed to a variety of investment choices. Employees are eligible for employer matching and profit-sharing contributions after 12 full months of service. Matching contributions by Fiserv are made on the first 6% contributed by the employee. The discretionary profit-sharing contribution is based on company profitability.
- Stock Purchase Plan
This plan allows employees to purchase shares of Fiserv stock at a discounted price through payroll deductions. The purchase is made at 85% of the closing market price on the last trading day of the calendar quarter. The stock is credited to an account in the employee's name and held until the employee elects to receive it in the form of a certificate, or sell the shares and receive the proceeds.
- Vacation
Employees earn 10 vacation days per calendar year up to 5 years of employment, 15 vacation days
after 5 years, 20 vacation days after 10 years and 25 vacation days after 20 years. Vacation is earned
on a monthly basis. Vacation may be taken before it is earned. Employees may begin taking vacation time
after 90 days of employment.
- Holidays
10 paid holidays a year.
- Tuition Reimbursement
After six months of service, full-time employees may receive reimbursement for part of their tuition fees and other related educational expenses up to 2 courses per academic semester or quarter. Reimbursement is based on the grade received for the course. The maximum reimbursement is based on the current average tuition rates of state universities. Galaxy also has a reimbursement program for certain training and certification courses.
